  • When: Saturday, March 18th, 7-10pm
  • Where: Brian Head Resort (38 min from the cabin) or  Navajo Lodge (10 min from the cabin)
  • Join rangers at the star party which will begin with a short talk about the significance of the designation and a public Q&A period, followed by telescope viewing, night sky stories, and constellation tours.  Warm beverages will be provided at Navajo Lodge along with astronomy activities for kids.

Meet the Mountain Family

Hey friends, we have loved our cabin in a quaint area of Duck Creek, Utah.  We decided to welcome guests, friends, family and new friends to this part of paradise by renting out our cabin on VRBO #586209.  Please consider staying and having your own family adventures.

We discovered Duck Creek in 2014 while visiting our friends at their cabin.  The pine smell, ATV riding and outdoor hiking lured our dad.  After 17 years of dance recitals he was excited to get his girls to the mountain and teach them to fish, cut wood, kayak and ride ATVs.

We recommend 4 wheel drive during the months of Oct-April.  They do plow highway 14 and our subdivision but weather can be unpredictable at that time.  Make plans to snow shoe, cross country ski, snow mobile or drive to Brian Head to downhill ski. Full moon ranger guided snowshoe hikes in Bryce Canyon November through March.  If you would rather stay in your warm car you can hop in and out of various overlooks throughout Bryce Canyon NP.  For more information on winter activites at the park please look at the included link https://www.nps.gov/brca/planyourvisit/winter.htm .

Paradise in the Mountains

Paradise Lodge is our favorite spot on earth!  Where is that?  Duck Creek, Utah off of Hwy 14 outside of Cedar City about 8,500 feet up in heaven.  Our family loves coming to the forest to hike and be unplugged.  This remote part of Utah in Dixie National Forest is central to several National Parks (NP).  Consider booking with us VRBO 586209.  We would love to host your family and share our bit of mountain paradise.
